Alta Vista School: Who We Are
 Alta Vista School is an independent elementary school (JK-8) in San Francisco dedicated to progressive, hands-on education grounded in the scientific method. We are a California non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and a member of the Independent Schools of the San Francisco Bay Area. The founding families of Alta Vista School are a diverse group of technologists, entrepreneurs, builders, artists, and leaders in the vibrant city of San Francisco. We are inspired by the talent of Head of School Ed Walters and his team in creating learning environments that awaken intellectual curiosity in children.
