Coming back from spring break, we will be reviewing the vocabulary covered in the previous units. We will be focusing on two units in specific “Los dias de las Semanas” and “Los Meses del Año.”

We will do a role play activity and play charades to reinforce the vocabulary.

Coming back from break students will finish their traveling projects, mini-books and dice. They will read each other’s mini-books and 3rd grade will challenge themselves with their dice. Students will recognize different methods of transportation and will use them to name an appropriate means of travel to varying destinations. Additionally, students will explore transportation options in different countries.

For homework students will have simple comprehension questions available on Schoology.

--Please remind students to carry their own headphones and bring them to class every day

Spanish 1B


Vocabulary and Grammar being covered/reviewed

Coming back from break we will finish working with the song “Fotografías”.This week we will begin to work with the short novel “Pobre Ana.” We will be mapping out the 1st chapter of the reading and character analysis.

Homework due on Thursday April 13th, 2017:

Students will have comprehension questions as well as true and false statements to evaluate their comprehension.

Spanish 1C (Advanced)

Vocabulary and Grammar being covered/reviewed

We will conclude our reading of “La vida de César Chávez.” Students will participate on an online discussion. Students will begin to work on their petition project. Students will write a formal petition of something they would like to change in school and explain how they will achieve it.

Homework due on Monday May 8th, 2017:

--Students will work on the outline of their petition. Specific guidelines will be posted on Schoology.

Beg. Spanish (1A)

This week, we will continue to review our grammar and practice speaking. Students will participate in various oral and written activities. We will practice with online practice exams and exercises. Students will be working on their novel project:

“ Pobre Ana” and will present oral presentations, Tuesday April 11th . We will also have a quiz on Chapter 9/Pobre Ana. Students should prepare for this quiz.

Grammar: Introduction to the irregular verbs

Spanish 2A


This week, we will focus on our reading, speaking and writing skills. Students will participate in various activities that will help reinforce their comprehension and speaking skills. This week, students will work on their Storytelling project. They will be presenting :Wednesday, April 12th.

In class activity: Project presentation.

Grammar: Verbos Reflexivos

Tarea/Homework: Due Thursday, April 13th

Ejercicios de los verbos reflexivos. Homework will be posted in Schoology. Students should submit their work to Schoology.


Spanish 2B

This week, we continue with the reflexive verbs and focus on commands. Students will practice orally using these commands with each other. Students will work on creating posters with these commands. Students will also work on their oral presentation: Instructions on how to do a task.

We will also focus on:

Reading: Short readings and have class discussion after reading.

Listening: Video clip with reflexive commands

In class activity: Students will prepare presentations and describe their daily schedules using the reflexive verbs.

Tarea/Homework: Due Thursday March 27th

Los mandatos reflexivos. Homework will be posted in Schoology. Students should submit their work to Schoology.


Spanish 2C

This week, students will be introduced to one of the greatest Spanish writers of all times, Miguel Cervantes. Students will research and find out why his work is known all over the world. Students will each take part in presenting Cervantes’ biography and important facts.

Tarea/Homework Due: Friday, April 14th

La vida de Cervantes- Video Clip y preguntas. Homework will be posted in Schoology. Students should submit their work to Schoology.
