Spanish 1A

Vocabulary and Grammar being covered/reviewed

This week we will conclude working with family vocabulary. Students will have a mini project in which they will design and explain a random family tree for a cartoon character of their choice. The focus is the use of family vocabulary and possessive adjectives.

Homework due on Thursday March 2nd:

-Students will have to work on their project and be ready to present on Thursday. Directions and specific guidelines for the project will be posted on Google Classroom.


Spanish 1B

Vocabulary and Grammar being covered/reviewed

This week we will conclude working with family vocabulary. Students will have a mini project in which they will design and explain a random family tree for a cartoon character of their choice in complete sentences, giving a description of each character. Students should be ready to ask their classmates questions, using the vocabulary learned. The focus is the use of family vocabulary and possessive adjectives.

Spanish 1C (Advanced)

Vocabulary and Grammar being covered/reviewed

We will focus on reading and writing in past tense. This week we will begin to focus on the imperfect (past tense) and conjugations.

-Homework due on Monday February 22nd: Students should begin reading “Salven mi selva” until page 241. They should highlight and look up the definition in Spanish of new vocabulary words.

-Highlights: Students will have comprehension questions on the first part of this reading.

Beg. Spanish (1A)

This week, we will continue to review our grammar and practice speaking. Students will participate in various oral and written activities. We will also continue reading our novel “ Pobre Ana” Chapter 3 and 4

Grammar: Introduction to the verb “Gustar” using Indirect pronouns

Spanish 2A

This week, we will focus on our reading, speaking and writing skills. Students will participate in various activities that will help reinforce their comprehension and speaking skills. This is what we will focus in class:

Oral: Preguntas Interrogativas- Picture with a story

In class activity: Student will continue to work on their Art story picture.

Grammar: Review “Diminutivos” and “Aumentativos”. Introduction to ¿Dónde, ¿Adónde? ¿Dedónde?

Spanish 2B

This week, we will continue with our interrogative questions and phrases. Students will continue working on their investigating reporting project. Students will continue to research and present their project ”live”. Students will be recording and “reporting” their story. We will also focus on:

Reading: Short readings and have class discussion after reading. Grammar: Continue with Reflexive verbs.


Listening: Spanish podcast and answer to questions orally. Students will record their answers.

Tarea/Homework: Due Thursday March 2nd

Libro: La rutina con verbos reflexivos. Homework will be posted in Schoology. Students should submit their work to Schoology.


Spanish 2C

This week, we will continue with our virtual travel to Spain. We have learned about the language and culture of Spain. We have focused in the Spanish Civil war and the affect it had in the language and grammar. This week, we will continue with our featured Film: El viaje de Carol- we will watch segments of this movie, compare and contrast generes, themes and vocabulary learned in the study of Spanish Literature. We will also continue with our grammar unit: Review Sino, sino que, pero and El imperfecto del subjuntivo.

Tarea/Homework: Due Friday March 3rd

Character identification and main themes- Summary of film segments. Homework will be posted in Schoology. Students should submit their work to Schoology.
