2014-2015 School Year Admissions
The admissions process for the 2014-2015 school year begins in September 2013, with tours and open houses throughout the Fall/early Winter.As we grow by one class level each year, we will enroll the following classes for Fall 2014: Jr. Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades.Alta Vista School Admissions Process:
- Come visit us. There is no better way for you to see what Alta Vista School offers and to evaluate whether it is a good fit for your child and family than by meeting with our faculty team and families. We have various tours and open houses throughout the Fall/early Winter - see the Admissions Calendar. - Apply. Application packets for the coming school year are available at school when you come to visit, or you can download/save the application. Please complete the application and submit it to the school with the $100 application fee by the deadline in January 2014. If you need assistance with the application fee, please let us know. Students transferring from another school also will need to have their current school complete a student evaluation form and have it sent directly from the current school to Alta Vista School. Please download/save the form.
- Have your child come join us at school. During January, February and March, we invite prospective students to come to school for a 1 to 1 1/2-hour visit so they may join in classroom activities and participate in an evaluation of their developmental and school readiness.
- Admissions decisions. Our admissions committee reviews all completed applications. Admissions decisions will be sent out in March 2014, following the guidelines established by the Bay Area Directors of Admissions Consortium.
